True to Central Florida, there is good bit of up and down.

Photo from Florida State Park web page

Members of the club has been camping this park for years and would make for a great introduction to this beautiful natural getaway.

Per GFJTT:
For the past couple of years, many of us (GFJTT, TCJC, JJC members) have camped out here for the weekend of GO TOPLESS Day. Sites have FULL HOOKUPS (electric, water) and are nice and open. We relax, eat, drink, talk, sit aroung a campfire and then many caravan down to our respective Go Topless events. Last year the GoTopless picnics were combined, this year, as far as I can see, nothing definitive has been posted as of today 2/15.. Regardless, Come join us for some fun & relaxation! The “core” sites are 28 through 30, but there are multiple sites open in the park for that weekend at this time, many close to that area. Best way of registering for a site is through the state website… https://www.floridastateparks.org/park/Jonathan-Dickinson Hope to see you all there! Tents, Pop-ups, Travel Trailers, 5th Wheels, RV’s!

If interested, join them on facebook to get details and coordinate.

Florida Issues State of Emergency
For 2017 Wildfires

Please use Extreme Caution if Wheeling the Everglades this time of Year

It doesn’t take much, an under performing exhaust system or maybe a power steering fluid boil over and a wild fire can be ignited. If you must be out there stay on trails where growth is minimal, avoid driving through dry material that can act as kindling, utilize a properly maintained vehicle and bring fire suppression equipment.

(Graphic from The Miami Herald ) – With La Niña in effect and a large amount of fuel from prior wet seasons now drying out, the Everglades and other preserves around Florida are at high risk for fires.

Think carefully before deciding to go out and act responsibly when wheeling this season. Consult park information pages for closures in this fast moving season.

Jeep Releases Concepts for Easter Jeep Safari

Once again coinciding with Easter Jeep Safari, Jeep has turned its concept vehicles loose on the Red Rock 4-Wheeler event. In all, seven concepts took to the Moab trails demonstrating their off road capabilities and unique designs.

The chopped look says it all. Great look for a vehicle that’s at home with open wheels.

Hmmm, clear doors on a Sahara. Down here in South Florida can we get that with a portable pressure washer for the ever present mud? The flipped rear door hinges are a nice touch.
